Midlothian Man Busted For Selling ‘Shrooms In Walgreens Lot: Cops
Tinley Park cops found psilocybin mushrooms, LSD and cannabis in Midlothian man's car in the Walgreens lot, prosecutor said.

TINLEY PARK, IL -- A Midlothian man was arrested after he was found holding a jar of psilocybin mushrooms in a Walgreens parking lot, prosecutors said. Richard Menconi, 20, appeared before Cook County Judge Peter Felice on charges of possession of a controlled substance and manufacture and delivery of cannabis.
Around 7:46 p.m. Sept. 26, Tinley Park police responded a report of a suspicious person in the Walgreens parking lot. When officers arrived, they noticed a man, later identified as Menconi, standing by his trunk allegedly holding a jar filled with 47 grams of psilocybin mushrooms. The prosecutors said that a search of Menconi’s vehicle also turned up 6 hits of LSA and cannabis, the prosecutor said.
Menconi has a prior felony for possession of a controlled substance in Wisconsin, the prosecutor said.

The assistant public defender told the judge that Menconi is a server at a pizza joint.
Bail was set at $30,000. Menconi is due back in court Oct. 18 in Bridgeview. .
