More Than $5,000 Worth of MS Medicine Stolen From Tinley Park Man's Porch

The 28 stolen pills were worth $5,166.51, police said.

More than $5,000 worth of multiple sclerosis medicine was stolen off a Tinley Park man’s front porch.

The man was expecting to receive a package of Gilenya on Dec. 19. He left his home about 7 a.m. that day. When he returned about 12 hours later, the package was not there, police said.

The 34-year-old man “did find a 2015 calendar featuring Audrey Hepburn on his front porch,” police said. “The calendar was not packaged and did not have any postage attached to it. It is unknown if the calendar is related to the theft.”

The man tracked the package on the UPS website and learned it had been delivered about 12:45 p.m. that day, police said.

The package reportedly contained 28 pills worth $5,166.51.
