Park Lawn Charity’s Discover Tinley Park group helped build some joy by donating a plethora of Legos to the Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation. The Treasure Chest Foundation provides toys, gifts, and gift cards to children and teens diagnosed with cancer nationwide. Park Lawn Charity’s mission statement is, “We believe every individual's life has meaning, value, and purpose.” They have various services for people with developmental disabilities to help them thrive in their community.

Shannon Krakowski, Tinley Park Program Manager, Joannie, DSP, and participants AJ, Ryan, Vinny, Sara, and Terry stopped into the Treasure Chest Foundation’s Orland Park location to drop off their overflowing van of Legos!

Treasure Chest Foundation Executive Director Kendra Connor said, “Legos are a great donation; they are always quick to go from the treasure chests. I cannot thank the participants of Park Lawn Charity’s Discover Tinley Park group enough for their generous donation. I have previous experience working in group homes and at day programs and it is always great to see programs that truly have their participants making an impact on their community and interacting in meaningful ways.”
