Jimano's Pizzeria Partners with United Way of Lake County to Benefit Critical Early Literacy Programs

Donates 1% of all sales starting November 19th through January 1st, 2015 across its five top selling locations in Lake County

Jimano’s Pizzeria, United Way of Lake County’s newest community partner on board in preparing the children to succeed in a changing world, has stepped in to unite leadership and resources to support education programs. Jimano’s Pizzeria will be donating 1% of all sales starting, November 19th through January 1st, 2015 across its five top selling locations into United Way of Lake County’s critical early literacy programs. Programs that will ensure the foundation for strong and successful academic futures for Lake County’s most vulnerable children.

“We believe that education is the answer to improving lives in Lake County. It begins by giving our at-risk children a solid educational foundation focused on preventive programs,” said Kristi Long, United Way of Lake County President and CEO. “With our long tradition of partnering with the business community to advance the common good, we are delighted to be working together with Jimano’s Pizzeria in creating a systematic, sustainable change for our community with focused education”.

Participating in the give back promotion are Jimano’s five Lake County locations in Waukegan, Gurnee, Mundelein, Round Lake Beach and Antioch. The proceeds from these locations collectively will be directed to provide children with the core skills to succeed in school, to build literacy skills and to engage students in school to reduce truancy and improve graduation success.
