Mundelein Middle School To Unveil $7M Stage Addition With Open House Next Week
The public open house is set for April 28 and will feature a ribbon-cutting and student performances in the new 200-seat space.
Carl Sandburg Middle School will host a public open house to celebrate completion of a $7 million stage addition nearly a year after construction began.
The new roughly 6,800-square-foot space includes a 200-seat performance area, upgraded entrance with a covered vestibule, and enhanced safety features. School officials say the addition provides a long-needed home for theater, music and other fine arts programs that were previously held in a gym or cafeteria, according to the Daily Herald.
The open house is scheduled for Tuesday, April 28, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., and will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony and student performance, according to the article.
