Sente Offers Reminder About Recycle-O-Rama and Shred Day Event

State Rep. Carol Sente is co-hosting a Recycle-O-Rama and Shred Day on Saturday, November 15 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Hawthorn Mall.

Vernon Hills, Ill. – State Rep. Carol Sente, D-Vernon Hills, is co-hosting a Recycle-O-Rama and Shred Day in her ongoing efforts to connect constituents with helpful services during all months of the year.

“Our semiannual Electronics Recycling and Shred Day events, are a fun, free way for residents to responsibly dispose of old electronics or confidential documents within the comfort of their own community,” Sente said. “It is my hope that we will continue to see more instances of local units of government and businesses coming together to provide unique services to residents, as it opens up a vast array of possibilities.”

On the morning of Saturday, November 15, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Sente will be co-sponsoring a Recycle-O-Rama and Shred Day with the Vernon Hills Park District, the Solid Waste Agency of Lake County (SWALCO), AT&T, and Westfield Hawthorn Mall. Residents are encouraged to stop by the mall to take advantage of free electronics recycling and on-site document shredding. This is a drive-through event where volunteers will remove items to be recycled or shredded from participants’ cars. Due to the event’s overwhelming popularity in the past, a three-box-limit is in place for document shredding.
