2 Unlocked Cars Broken Into: Western Springs Cops
In another case, a resident was scammed out of more than $1,000, police said.
WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — Western Springs police released their latest blotter Tuesday. Here is information from the reports:
- Two unlocked cars were ransacked in the overnight hours of Dec. 18 in the driveway of a house in the 4800 block of Woodland Avenue. A home surveillance camera showed two suspects entering cars.
- A resident in the 4700 block of Franklin Avenue told police Dec. 21 that he paid more than $1,000 to buy a slot machine online, but the website was fraudulent. He did not receive the item.
- Noah D. Holstrom, 18, of Chicago, was cited about 2 a.m. Dec. 19 in the 5900 block of Timber Trails Boulevard on charges of zero tolerance administrative sanction, a minor consuming alcohol and driving in the wrong lane. Holstrom was suspected of drinking, but refused to take a breath test. He was released on bond.
- An outdoor Christmas decoration valued at $60 was reported removed from a front yard on Christmas Day in the 4500 block of Howard Avenue.
Police report information is provided by local police departments. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions on a given day, and people charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
