U-Pick Strawberry Farms and Tips For Your Trip
Strawberry season is sooner than usual this year, don't miss out! Check out this list of u-pick farms a short car-ride away and suggestions for planning a day out on the farm.
The strawberry season usually starts mid-June and continues for 3-4 weeks depending on the weather and how many people come to pick. However, strawberry picking is earlier this year because of the warm spring we have been having! Most of the places I called said the season will start on May 31 or the first week in June so call the place you want to go to see the exact date.
All of the strawberry farms on the list are within an hour and a half from Western Springs, from the closest to farthest away. They all have a different atmosphere… some have attractions and some are just farms with miles of fields around, so check out their websites to see if it’s what you are looking for.
