Retail Theft, Fraudulent Account: Western Springs Cops

A person stole $650 worth of merchandise from a local store, police said.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — Western Springs police released their latest blotter Tuesday. Here is information from the reports:

  • A person at Walgreens, 4700 Gilbert Ave., stole $650 worth of merchandise about 7 p.m. Nov. 29.
  • A resident in the 4300 block of Woodland Avenue told police Nov. 30 that a fraudulent account was opened in her name at Bank of America.
  • Marco A. Hernandez, 42, of Berwyn, was cited about noon Monday at Forest and Ogden avenues on charges of no valid driver's license and speeding. He was released on bond.

Police report information is provided by local police departments. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions on a given day, and people charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
