Youth Battered At Western Springs Restaurant: Cops

In another case, a resident was defrauded of $300 that he paid for merchandise he never received, police said.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Western Springs police released their latest blotter Tuesday. Here is information from the reports:

Battery

  • A woman told police Oct. 5 that her juvenile son was battered by another youth at Subway in the Garden Market Shopping center at 47th Street and Willow Springs Road.

Vandalism

  • A person told police Oct. 5 that his car's driver's side front and back doors were damaged, possibly by a key, while parked near the football field at Lyons Township High School's South Campus.

Fraud

  • A resident in the 4800 block of Elm Avenue told police Oct. 3 that he paid more than $300 for an Xbox on Craigslist, but has not received it. The seller has blocked him.
