Bearded Bank Robber Arrested for 3 DuPage County Heists

DUPAGE COUNTY, IL - Authorities have arrested a man accused of robbing three banks in DuPage County in recent months.

The man is accused of robbing West Suburban Bank, 3S041 Route 53 in Warrenville, on Monday; Bank of America, 506 S. Schmale Road in Carol Stream, on Aug. 23; and TCF Bank, 2164 Bloomingdale Road in Glendale Heights, on July 29, according to the Daily Herald.

The Warrenville bank robbery occurred at 1:26 p.m. on Sept. 26. During that robbery, the suspect had a long beard, which was possibly fake. In past robberies, he wore a hat-- a cowboy hat during one robbery and a baseball hat at the other -- and a surgical mask to cover his face, according to BanditTrackerChicago.com.

He is accused of robbing the Glendale Heights TCF Bank at 4:51 p.m. on July 29 and the Carol Stream Bank of America at 11:23 a.m. on Aug. 23.

His identity is not currently being released, according to the Daily Herald.

Police do not believe the man took part in another bank robbery from this past week---a robbery at the U.S. Bank in Wood Dale, which occurred about a half-hour after the Warrenville bank robbery, according to the newspaper. The Wood Dale bank robber is described as being 6-feet tall with thin build and in his mid- to late-30s.The suspect arrested in the three other DuPage County robberies was between 5-feet 7-inches and 5-feet 10-inches tall with a medium build and in his 30s or 40s.
