Blaze Damages Home On South Morgan Avenue In Wheaton
A firefighter suffered minor injuries putting out the blaze.

WHEATON, IL — Wheaton firefighters battled a blaze in a home on Morgan Avenue Tuesday afternoon, the second residential fire they extinguished in less than a week. One firefighter sustained a minor injury during the incident.
Fire crews got a call around 12:45 p.m. reporting a residential fire in the 200 block of South Morgan Avenue. No one was home at the time of the fire, which firefighters were able to put out in about 20 minutes, a news release said.
A firefighter was hurt while battling the blaze, but the injury was deemed minor and treated onsite.

Officials are still investigating what started the fire, but it's believed the cause is not suspicious.
This is the second residential fire Wheaton fire crews have responded to in less than a week. On Saturday, a fire broke out in a home on Schillerstrom Court.
