The Physics and Engineering Department at Wheaton College presents "From Paper to Patent," a lecture by Aleks Nosewicx  on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at 4:15 PM.

Aleks Nosewicz is a patent attorney working at Hansen Reynolds in Milwaukee. After an overview of the three types of Intellectual Property (Copyright, Patent, and Trademark), and the three types of Patent Law (Patent, Prosecution, Patent Litigation, and Patent Licensing), his lecture will focus on the process for turning a research paper (one that he  wrote as a sophomore at  Wheaton in the Physics and Engineering Department) into a patent application.
