Carol Stream Mayor Wins $12,700 in Illinois Lottery

WHEATON, IL — Trips to Red Rooster Pantry and 7-Eleven paid off for the Mayor of Carol Stream, who recently won nearly $13,000 on two separate tickets from the Illinois Lottery. Frank Saverino cashed in his winning tickets at the Illinois Lottery Prize Center in Des Plaines.

Saverino won $10,000 on a $2,000,000 Extravaganza! scratch-off ticket he purchased at the 7-Eleven at 125 Hiawatha in Carol Stream. He also won $2,700 on a Pick Four ticket he bought at Red Rooster Pantry at 260 County Farm Road in West Chicago.

A beaming Saverino said of his winnings, "I like playing the Lottery, I have a lot of fun with it and I plan to put my winnings to good use.”
