Christmas Sharing Week Kicks Off In Wheaton, Warrenville
Resident can volunteer at eight local churches to help spread joy to local families this holiday season.

WHEATON, IL --- 'Tis the season to be giving, and in that spirit, the cities of Wheaton and Warrenville have declared Dec. 2 through Dec. 8 Christmas Sharing Week. The proclamation honors a nearly 50-year tradition in Wheaton that provides food and toys to those in need throughout the Wheaton Warrenville Community Unit School District 200 during the holiday season.
A team of dedicated volunteers collects clothing, cash, food, and gifts throughout the year, and then sorts all the items in early December. During Christmas Sharing Week, residents are encouraged to head to several churches in Warrenville and Wheaton to do their part in helping to sort the items that have been collected and donated before they make their ways to homes to brighten the season.
