Christmas Tree Recycling Soon Available in Wheaton

Christmas is over! Here is what you need to know about recycling your Christmas tree in Wheaton.

Live Christmas trees will be collected as part of curbside recycling the first two full weeks in January (Jan. 5-16, 2015), with no sticker required.

Simply follow these tips to ensure your tree will be picked up during the two-week free collection period:

  • Remove all decorations, including tinsel, garland, lights and ornaments.
  • Do not place your tree in a bag
  • Place your tree at the curb the evening before or the morning of your normal garbage pickup day.

After Jan. 16, you will need to attach one blue yard waste/garbage sticker to your tree for it to be picked up.
