DuPage County Coronavirus Update: 1,313 Cases, 60 Deaths

DUPAGE COUNTY, IL — As of Tuesday, DuPage County reports 1,313 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus and 60 deaths. County officials say the number of positive cases is "likely much higher" due to cases that are "unreported or untested."

County officials said six coronavirus-related deaths were reported since Monday. They are:

  • A man in his 70s with underlying conditions living at a long-term care facility in Westmont
  • A woman in her 80s with underlying conditions living at a long-term care facility in Carol Stream
  • A man in his 90s with underlying conditions living in a long-term care facility in Elmhurst
  • A man in his 70s with underlying conditions living in a long-term care facility in Naperville
  • A woman in her 80s with underlying conditions living in a long-term care facility in Lombard
  • A woman in her 80s with underlying conditions living in a long-term care facility in Willowbrook

The news comes as cases in Illinois reach 23,247. The statewide death toll from coronavirus was at 868 as of Tuesday.
