The Wheaton College Art Department hosts a festschrift presentation in honor of retired professor and art historian E. John Walford. The festschrift is titled Art as Spiritual Perception: Essays in Honor of E. John Walford.
Dr. Walford served as a professor of art history at Wheaton College for 30 years before retiring in 2011. He is the author of Great Theme in Art and Jacob van Ruisdael and the Perception of Landscape. While at Wheaton his research focused on incarnational theology and the intersection of art and Christianity.
During the presentation, contributors to the book will give short descriptions of their papers and provide insight on their time with Dr. Walford. A continental breakfast will be served at 8:30 a.m. and will end with an afterword and a discussion by Dr. Walford at 12 p.m.

This event will take place in Cozette Lecture Hall on the third floor in Adams Hall located in the center of campus, north of Blanchard Hall. No registration is necessary. For more information, contact the Art Department.
