Philip Glass Retrospective: Concert by Pianist Paul Barnes

 


The Wheaton College Conservatory of Music hosts a celebration for the highly original American composer Philip Glass with a recital of music titled "Philip Glass Retrospective" featuring pianist Paul Barnes.


Dr. Barnes will perform commissioned and premiered works in honor of the composer's' 75th birthday. Barnes is a professor of piano at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln School of Music. He has performed in major cities in the U.S., as well as in England, Korea, Russia and China. He is especially known for his world premier performance in 2004 of Philip Glass's Piano Concerto No. 2.

Tickets are available only at the door and cost $10 for general audience and $5 for students and seniors over 60. Admission is free for Wheaton ID holders and anyone 18 and under. For more information, call the Conservatory of Music.
