Holiday Stroll Held Downtown Wheaton Saturday

The shops and boutiques in downtown Wheaton will be sharing the spirit of the season with complimentary holiday treats throughout the day, including cider tastings, eggnog, peppermints, Christmas cookies and other holiday treats.

The day will also include complimentary carriage rides, carolers and other special activities as part of Wheaton’s Dickens of a Christmas celebration.

Starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, participating merchants will be offering shoppers complimentary holiday inspired refreshments and trinkets as a way of sharing the holiday spirit and showing appreciation for their patronage. In addition to in-store treats, ice sculpting demonstrations will take place at Martin Memorial Plaza from 12 to 3 p.m.

Victorian carolers will be strolling along the Downtown streets from 12 to 2 p.m. Complimentary horse and carriage rides will also be offered from 12pm to 3pm at Martin Memorial Plaza. Santa visits are also included in the day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Santa House at Martin Memorial Plaza.
