Ice Rinks Open For 2021-22 Season At Central Athletic Complex

WHEATON, IL — Timed-entry tickets will be required ahead of time for residents and non-residents who want to ice skate at the rinks at Central Athletic Complex, 500 Naperville Rd., during the 2021-22 season, which kicks off Nov. 26.

Admission to the ice rinks is free for residents. For non-residents, the cost of admission is $7 for adults and $5 for children 17 and under or seniors 55 and older. Skate rental will not be available onsite.

The ice rinks will be open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. On Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year's Day, the rinks will be closed. Limited hours (11 a.m. to 3 p.m.) will be in effect Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.

Click the links to reserve a spot on the open skate rink or the hockey rink. Both rinks are open if weather permits, usually after temperatures have remained at or below 40 degrees. Click the link to check the status of the Central Athletic Complex's skating rinks.

To skate on one of the complex's rinks for free, residents must present their Wheaton Park District Universal ID, along with their timed-entry ticket. To get the universal ID, residents can visit the Wheaton Park District Community Center at 1777 Blanchard St. or call 630-690-4880.
