Over $430K In Grants Given To Nonprofits By DuPage Foundation

More than 30 local nonprofits received grants as part of DuPage Foundation's Community Needs Grant Program for fall 2021.

WHEATON, IL — More than 30 DuPage-area nonprofits benefitted from a total of more than $430,000 in grants from DuPage Foundation's Community Needs Grant Program for fall 2021.

The Community Needs Grant Program accepts applications twice yearly. This round's grant amount was able to exceed the foundation's usual budget by nearly $180,000, due to additional donations, a news release said.

Grant recipients were chosen from organizations that focus on animal welfare, arts and culture, education and environment. Below is a roundup of the grant recipients and amounts for each category.

“We are proud to deploy these much-needed grants to the not-for-profit organizations that work tirelessly to serve our community, especially as the lingering effects of the pandemic have forced many to reimagine and rebuild their operations and programs,” Barb Szczepaniak, vice president of programs at DuPage Foundation said in a news release.

Szczepaniak continued, “We are grateful to our donors for their generosity and desire to expand funding to support these organizations.”
