Leveraging his experience as a Central Agency Intelligence Agency (CIA) case officer, corporate intelligence director, and international political campaign consultant, Joe Goldberg’s new release, Rebellious Son: A Spy Devils Thriller provides rare insights into the world of espionage. Meticulously researched, it pulls from Goldberg’s personal experiences and knowledge of espionage. Rebellious Son is the second book in The Spy Devils series.

Trowbridge ‘Bridger’ Hall was raised to be a spy. Leading a highly trained collection of covert agents, he’s loyal to his team and his country. After bombs explode across Europe, the evidence proves an infamous bomb maker has come out of retirement. The CIA’s former terrorist-hunter pleads with Bridger to help find the only terrorist he never caught. Bridger agrees, but May, Bridger’s mother and CIA handler, orders him not to assist their friend. He needs to know why. Caught between an aging bomb maker and a dying CIA spy, Bridger and the Spy Devils fight for their survival while preventing a radioactive bomb disaster.

“This is fiction, but my mantra was to be as accurate as I could,” Goldberg said. “By signed secrecy agreement, I sent this manuscript to the CIA’s Publications Review Board for pre-publication review.”

Adam Hamby, author of The Other Side of Night, agrees. “Rebellious Son takes you for a wild ride that oozes authenticity, which isn’t surprising given Joe Goldberg’s intelligence background. Joe is a talented author who is definitely writing what he knows.”

"This is a gripping, propulsive thriller that is at once an adrenaline-pounding thrill ride and a deeper exploration of family, loss, and vengeance,” David McCloskey, author of Damascus Station, said.
