Latest Wheaton Coronavirus Update: 25 Cases Confirmed
At press time, there are 714 coronavirus cases throughout DuPage County.
WHEATON, IL — The new coronavirus outbreak in Illinois and across the nation is having a vast impact on Wheaton, forcing the temporary closure of schools, businesses, parks and playgrounds.
As of early Monday, there were 25 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Wheaton.
At press time, there are 714 coronavirus cases in DuPage County and 22 patients have died from complications. As of Sunday, Will County had 648 coronavirus cases and 12 deaths. At press time, Will County had not yet released its number of coronavirus cases by municipality.

The news comes as the number of total coronavirus cases in Illinois climbs above 12,000. As of Monday, the statewide death toll was at 307. Governor J.B. Pritzker extended his stay-at-home order Tuesday through April 30.

Per the governor's order, restaurants are closed for in-person dining, but many Wheaton restaurants are still offering orders for delivery or pickup. MORE.
HOSPITALS
In the wake of the coronavirus crisis, nearby Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital has put a temporary no-visitor policy in place to help ensure the health and safety of the staff and community. Exceptions may be made, including for pediatric care, end-of-life care or other circumstances. MORE
