What CUSD 200 does not need in the upcoming election is more of the same.  What is needed however, is new perspective, new energy, new transparency and new honesty. Whether it’s a current incumbent desperately trying to retain a spot on the board or a surrogate selected for special purpose, please resist the urge for more of the same. Please don’t vote for four candidates just to fill the ballot and tacitly support someone without knowing their stance on issues which are important to you. Look them up on line. It’s not difficult to see where people stand, who’s running for special purpose and who’s not.

What I will ask, is that you vote for Kyle Nenninger. Kyle is an attorney and finance advisor with an MBA from the University of Chicago who has the best interests of our kids in mind, balanced in fiscal responsibility. He will not blindly vote in favor of spending where it’s not needed, but will vote in favor of spending where it makes sense.

Technology in the classroom is an important issue to Kyle, as it is for me.  At all levels, it’s been well proven that technology used to enhance and foster education in today’s day and age reaps enormous benefits to the children, as well as to the enthusiasm of the teachers implementing these tools. We need to keep pushing forward in this arena, and Kyle is well equipped to do just that.

Transparency is a huge issue for Kyle, as it is for me.  In my opinion, our current board as constituted, has lost a lot of credibility. I do not want someone in a position of authority to knowingly manipulate and misinform residents, regardless of the issue. Whether it’s spending taxpayer money or entering into contracts, I want to know that I can trust what’s coming out people’s mouths, not need to spend an inordinate amount of time deconstructing what has been presented only to find the truth lies elsewhere. Kyle has consistently pushed the issue of transparency and has been the only candidate to uncover the misinformation presented on the current referendum.

As a candidate with four children in the District at different levels, Kyle continually has the best interest of the kids front and center. Whether it’s the performing arts or athletics, north side or south side, what’s best for one is best for all, and I firmly believe, without a hesitation of doubt, that Kyle Nenninger is a candidate that the residents of District 200 want and need on the board representing our interests.

Respectfully submitted,

Michael Moukheiber
