Library to Host Panel Discussion for International Women's Day
Celebrate International Women's Day with a dynamic panel discussion on what it means to #BreaktheBias Tuesday, March 8 at 7:00 pm.

Wheaton Public Library, DuPage Habitat for Humanity, and Wheaton League of Women Voters are celebrating International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month with a dynamic virtual panel discussion of what it means to #BreaktheBias. The Women Breaking the Bias panel will be held Tuesday, March 8 at 7:00 pm via Zoom and will feature local women in policy, as well as DuPage Habitat for Humanity women homeowners about their social, economic, cultural and political achievements and the stereotypes they have overcome.
The panelists include Dr. Darlene Ruscitti, Regional Superintendent of DuPage County Schools, Sara Sadat, Village Trustee of Lisle, and Sharmin Shahjahan, former Village Trustee of Hanover Park. The panel will also include women homeowners from DuPage Habitat for Humanity, Kate Melekhova, Iris Bess, and Alma De Casas, as well as Jennifer Taff, Interim Executive Director of DuPage Habitat for Humanity. The discussion will be moderated by Erica Bray-Parker, City of Wheaton Councilwoman At-Large.
