Maker Day Returns to Wheaton Public Library This October
Celebrate all things STEAM on Saturday, October 21 from 2 – 4 p.m.

Maker Day returns to Wheaton Public Library Saturday, October 21 from 2 – 4 p.m. Everyone is welcome to join the library in celebrating all things STEAM with live demonstrations and hands-on activities on the library’s main and lower levels.
The purpose of Maker Day is to promote a love for learning in science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) through presentations and programs. “My favorite part about Maker Day is the excitement for all aspects of STEAM,” said Youth Services Department Head, Rachel Weiss-Binder. “I love seeing attendees interacting with our presenters and stations as they learn something new.”
Attendees can look forward to many stations throughout the library focusing on everything from robotics to art projects. Many of the activities at the library on Maker Day are created by the local community. “We're fortunate to have so much talent in the Wheaton area along with the willingness of the community to showcase their STEAM hobbies and careers at the library,” said Weiss-Binder.
