Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony Held Monday in Wheaton

The parade will step off at 10 a.m. on Monday.

WHEATON, IL - American Legion Post 76 will host the Memorial Day Parade, which winds through downtown Wheaton on Monday, May 30.

The parade steps off at 10 a.m. from Memorial Park and proceeding west on Wesley Street, turning south on West Street, and ending at the Wheaton Cemetery. The Memorial Day Ceremony will take place at the cemeteray at 11 a.m.

During the parade, the Wheaton Police Department, with the cooperation and assistance of the Milton Township Highway Department, will temporarily modify the traffic pattern on Warrenville Road from Wheaton Cemetery/Merrill and Warrenville Road to Orchard Road from two-way to only one way southbound.

This condition will exist for approximately two and a half hours (9:30 a.m. until noon). During the event, these streets will be adequately staffed with uniformed Police Officers to assist and direct traffic.

Motorists may experience temporary traffic delays and may choose to alter their travel route to avoid these areas.
