Road Closures For 2017 Memorial Day Parade In Wheaton

Some roads will be closed on Monday, May 29, for Wheaton's Memorial Day parade. Expect delays between 9:30 a.m. and noon.

WHEATON, IL – The 2017 Memorial Day Parade is Monday, May 29, 2017 beginning at 10 a.m. The parade will begin at Memorial Park, proceeding west on Wesley Street, turning south on West Street, and ending at the Wheaton Cemetery. During the parade, the Wheaton Police Department, with the cooperation and assistance of the Milton Township Highway Department, will temporarily modify the traffic pattern on Warrenville Road from Wheaton Cemetery/Merrill and Warrenville Road to Orchard Road from two-way to only one way southbound. See a map of this closure. This condition will exist for approximately two and a half hours (9:30 a.m. until noon). During the event, these streets will be adequately staffed with uniformed Police Officers to assist and direct traffic. Motorists may experience temporary traffic delays and may choose to alter their travel route to avoid these areas. The Wheaton Memorial Parade is led by American Legion Post 76.
