Road Closures To Take Effect For Wheaton's 2021 Christmas Parade

WHEATON, IL — Road closures will take effect in downtown Wheaton to accommodate the city's 2021 Christmas Parade, which is slated for the day after Thanksgiving.

The following roads will be closed in downtown Wheaton from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 26:

  • Wheaton Avenue between Wesley Avenue and Front Street
  • Wesley Avenue at Wheaton Avenue
  • Front Street between Wheaton Avenue and Cross Street
  • Hale Street between Liberty Drive and Front Street
  • Main Street between Liberty Drive and Front Street
  • Cross Street between Liberty Drive and Front Street

Karlskoga Avenue will be closed to traffic starting at 11 p.m. Nov. 25. This closure will be in effect until 8 p.m. Nov. 26.

Wheaton's 2021 Christmas Parade is set to kick off at 6 p.m. Nov. 26.

After the parade on Nov. 26, hundreds of lights will be ceremoniously lit at Adams Park to herald the start of the Night of Lights display. The dazzling holiday lights showcase will be illuminated from dusk to 11 p.m. through Jan. 9.
