Send A Valentine's Balloon To Someone At DuPage Care Center
Last year, more than 800 balloons were sent to the center's residents.

WHEATON, IL -- Valentine's Day doesn't have to be reserved for a sweetheart. In fact, DuPage County residents can share love on Valentine's Day by sending something thoughtful to brighten the day for someone they've never met. DuPage Care Center is accepting donations to provide its residents with a brightly colored, heart-shaped helium balloon on Valentine's Day and they're asking for your help to donate.
A $3 donation sends a Valentine's Day balloon to one of the more than 350 residents living at the DuPage Care Center, which provides housing and care to elderly people and people under 55 with disabilities. Last year, 800 balloons were handed out, the center's staff said in a new release.
The Valentine's Day donations also help to fund recreational activities and programs for residents throughout the year.
