Serve City Volleyball high school tryouts coming Oct. 21, 22, 29

After enjoying record turnout for its middle school girls teams, Serve City Volleyball is gearing up for similar success for its high school girls tryouts in October and November. Tryouts for Serve City's 15U, 16U, 17U and 18U girls regional and national teams will take place Oct. 21 in Wheaton, Des Plaines and Elgin as well as Oct. 22 and 29 and Nov. 5 in Wheaton.

High school girls tryouts debut on Sunday, Oct. 21 in Wheaton, Des Plaines and Elgin. Tryouts for 13U to 17U athletes will run from 9 to 11 a.m. at Oakton Community College in Des Plaines and from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at The Centre of Elgin, 100 Symphony Way in Elgin. Tryouts for 15U to 17U girls will occur from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Wheaton Community Center, 1777 S. Blanchard St. in Wheaton.

The cost to try out is $10. Signups are taking place online at www.servecityvolleyball.org.

Serve City will also hold high school girls make-up tryouts from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 22, Monday, Oct. 29 and Monday, Nov. 5 at Vineyard Church's gymnasium at 1900 Manchester Road in Wheaton.

Serve City's national teams will practice and play tournaments from Nov. 26, 2018 to June 16, 2019 with breaks for Christmas, New Year's, spring break and national team break. The national teams' seasons will conclude at the Asics Jr. National Championships June 14-16 at Navy Pier in Chicago.

The regional teams will practice and play tournaments from November 26, 2018 until April 14, 2019 with breaks for Christmas, New Year's and spring break.
