Wheaton Library's Gingerbread House Contest A Treat For Residents
Craft your best gingerbread creation and bring it to Wheaton Library on Dec. 16 for a chance to win up to $100 in gift certificates.

WHEATON, IL — The Wheaton Library will fill with the sweet scents of gingerbread and icing for the city's annual Gingerbread House Contest on Saturday, Dec. 16. No registration is required, so now's the time to get your confectionery construction workers started on your own gingerbread house plans.
This year's gingerbread house contest features four different age group categories:
- Children 6 and under
- Children 7 to 12
- Teens 13 to 18
- Adults 19 and over
Winners in each category will receive gift cards to spend in downtown Wheaton. First place will receive $100 in gift certificates, second will receive $75, and third will receive $50 worth of gift certificates.

Bring your delectable gingerbread domiciles to Wheaton Library, 225 N. Cross St. at 10 a.m. to compete. The event is open to spectators too and lasts until 12 p.m.
