Wheaton Man Arrested For Open Liquor, Resisting Arrest Near Union Station In Joliet: Police

Dimitri Staley, 55, of the 700 block of West Liberty, Wheaton, was arrested after police found him passed out with open liquor in Joliet.

WHEATON, IL — A Wheaton man was arrested Labor Day weekend after he was reported passed out and smelling of alcohol near Union Station in Joliet. Dimitri Staley, 55, of the 700 block of West Liberty, Wheaton, was charged with resisting arrest and having open alcohol on a private lot with public access.

At approximately 6:30 p.m., police found Staley with a bottle of Olde English and a heavy smell of alcohol in downtown Joliet, not far from MyGrain Brewing Company in downtown Joliet. Police say they attempted to get Staley off the property and take him into custody, but he would not leave.
