Wheaton Man Involved in I-55 Crash That Killed Wisconsin Man
The crash happened near Bolingbrook early Tuesday.

A 36-year-old Wheaton man was involved in a crash along Interstate 55 near Bolingbrook early Tuesday that claimed the life of a 60-year-old Wisconsin man.
Samer Hraish of Wheaton was driving a commercial vehicle south on I-55, just south of Route 53, when he was struck from behind by another commercial vehicle, which was driven by William Hansen, 60, of Oshkosh, Wis., according to the Daily Herald. Hansen was killed in the crash.
The crash happened around 3:20 a.m. in the northbound lanes near Route 53, according to state police. Cars slid into the trucks after they careened out of control. The vehicles reportedly slid on highway ice.

The fatal crash blocked the interstate for hours during the morning commute. As of 9 a.m., all inbound lanes were reopened.
