WHEATON, IL --- The winter holiday season will kick off officially on Nov. 23 with the city's annual holiday parade and Christmas tree lighting. After the tree is lit up and the parade makes its way through downtown Wheaton, kids can visit with Santa Claus when he arrives from his trek all the way up at the North Pole.
The holiday parade will step off from the corner of Wesley Street and Wheaton Avenue at 6 p.m. and head toward Front Street, where it will turn east until its stopping point on Cross Street. Holiday characters, Santa Claus, and other mascots will be available after the parade to snap pics with kids.
