Hit and Run Fatality: Woman Killed in Hanover Park Motorcycle Crash

WHEATON, IL — An Elmhurst woman was killed in a hit-and-run motorcycle accident in Hanover Park Monday, police said. Police have enlisted the help of DuPage County Accident Reconstruction Team to recreate the apparent two-vehicle crash, which was reported just before 8:30 p.m.

Police and emergency responders arrived at the scene to find the woman, Christina Jankowski, 30, unresponsive on the roadway. Police detected no vital signs and sent her readings to Sherman Hospital in Elgin, which confirmed Jankowsi's death. Preliminary investigation indicates Jankowski died of massive head trauma.
