New Trier Township is partnering with Bernie's Book Bank to collect new and gently used children's books from June 27-August 12, 2016.

New Trier Township is partnering with Bernie’s Book Bank to collect new and gently used children’s books from June 27- August 12, 2016. The Township goal is to acquire 2,000 books by August 12, to benefit at-risk children.
Bernie’s Book Bank collects, processes and distributes quality new and gently used children’s books to significantly increase book ownership among at-risk infants, toddlers and school-age children throughout Chicagoland.
Paddie Brennen, Supervisor of New Trier Township observed, “We are pleased to work with Bernie’s Book Bank. The work they are doing is very important. It is critical for all children to own books and acquire a love for reading. I know the north shore communities will rally around Bernie’s Book Bank and help more children acquire a love for reading through book ownership.”
