Driver Twice Over the Legal Limit Hits 3 Parked Cars: Cops

DUI
Rachel Hansen, 40, of the 2600 block of Prairie Avenue, Evanston, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence after an April 16 accident.

Officers responded to a call at about 7:31 p.m. of a vehicle that smashed into an unoccupied parked car in the 700 block of 12th Street. Police spoke to Hansen, the driver of the car, at the scene and took her into custody for driving under the influence after she failed field sobriety tests. Further investigation also revealed that Hansen hit a total three parked cars before stopping.

At the station, Hansen took a breath test, which registered a blood-alcohol content of 0.191, more than double the legal limit.
DRUG AND WARRANT ARREST
James Moeller, 36, of Kenosha, was arrested on an outstanding Cook County warrant after an April 16 traffic stop. He also was charged with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance.
Police pulled over Moeller for a minor traffic violation at about 6:12 a.m. in the 600 block of Green Bay Road, and an background check revealed the outstanding warrant. The check also discovered that Moeller's license and registration had been suspended.
A search of Moeller uncovered heroin and Xanax that was not prescribed to him.
DUI
Josette Valderrama, 42, of the 500 block of North Armour Street, Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence after an April 23 traffic stop.
Police pulled over Valderrama at about 2:57 a.m. in the 4000 block of Lake Street for a minor traffic violation. During the stop, Valderrama failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody.
