Homeless Man Charged in Coffee Shop Robbery
Sean Hill is accused of stealing money from a customer as he was paying.

WILMETTE, IL—A Chicago man was arrested Sunday in connection with the strong-arm robbery of a coffee shop customer last month, according to Wilmette police.
Sean Hill, 46, was charged with theft of property from the person after he was arrested Sunday, May 29, on an unrelated matter in the 400 block of North State Street in Chicago. Hill, who police say is homeless, is being held on $25,000 bail, and his court date is June 16.

Hill is accused of trying to snatch the wallet from a customer while he was paying the cashier at Alchemy Coffee House, 416 Linden Ave., on May 7, according to the police report. The two fought, and Hill allegedly grabbed money from the victim's wallet before fleeing to the Linden CTA station and escaping on a southbound train, police said.
No one was hurt in the incident, and Hill did not use a weapon, police added.
