New Trier Township Food Pantry Seeks Produce and Goods for fall

If you had a "bumper crop" this summer, the New Trier Township Food Pantry would welcome your surplus vegetables and fruit.

For many backyard gardeners fall is the harvest season. If you have been fortunate enough to have a “bumper crop” this summer, the New Trier Township Food Pantry would welcome your surplus. Supervisor Alan Goldberg stated, “We strive to provide our food pantry clients with nutritious food items, including fresh fruits and vegetables. Over the years gardeners and local supermarkets have made generous donations of fresh produce to our pantry.”

In order to keep the pantry shelves fully stocked for neighbors in need, donations of cereal, canned soup, pasta, juice boxes, coffee and tea are always welcome.

The Township Food Pantry located at 739 Elm Street in Winnetka accepts donations Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
