The lifeguard bandit strikes again. An offender robbed a Hubbard Woods shop on Friday afternoon. Police said he matches the description of a young man in a lifeguard sweatshirt who targeted three other North Shore stores, including one in Wilmette.
Wednesday's robbery at Wilmette's Yellow Bird Stationery is among three similar crimes in two days. The offender successfully stole cash at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory store in Northfield but failed at a Glenview Claire's accessory shop.
