Regina Alumna Wins Coveted Political Consultant Awards
Nicole Jaconetty, a 2010 graduate of Regina Dominican, received two coveted Pollie awards.

Nicole Jaconetty, a 2010 graduate of Regina Dominican, received two coveted Pollie awards at the American Association of Political Consultants Conference held earlier this month. The Pollie Awards are the most prized and sought-after awards in the political communications and public affairs industries.
As a member of Fordham University’s Elections and Campaign Management Master’s program, Jaconetty submitted two projects to the contest. The first was a comprehensive 120-page group project completed in summer 2014. The campaign plan composed of a hypothetical Minnesota Governor’s race, titled “McCollum for Governor 2014.” The second was a finance plan Jaconetty organized for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign, a final project which required students to detail how a candidate would raise $500 million in a presidential cycle. Nicole received one gold for Best Student Campaign Plan and one silver for a Best Student Fundraising Effort.
“This year’s Pollie Awards were especially competitive for an off cycle with over 1,600 entries. We were pleased to see innovative voter contact and persuasion strategies applied in all segments, especially in our Internet and social media categories, which saw a significant increase in number over last year,” said AAPC President Art Hackney.
