Wilmette 4th of July Fireworks: When and Where to Watch Them
Plus, information on the other ways the village is celebrating Independence Day in 2016.

Wilmette, IL—A parade, fun run and concert, all capped off with a fireworks display, will be part of this year's Fourth of July celebration in Wilmette.
Fireworks are scheduled for 9:30 p.m. Sunday, July 3, at Gillson Park, Sheridan Road and Michigan Avenue, and along Lake Michigan.
Before the fireworks display, the village also will be holding an Independence Day celebration starting at 4 p.m. at Gillson Park, Wallace Bowl and along the lakefront. Activities include:

- live music at 7 p.m. at Wallace Bowl
- carnival games
- food vendors
- a post-fireworks concert by The Dooley Brothers at 10:45 p.m.
There also will be the annual July 3 Fun Run/Walk, which includes a 4-mile run, and a 2-mile walk, as well as and short youth races in eight age categories. The races begin and end at Gillson Park.
The adult Fun Run/Walk begins at 8 a.m. Youth races start at 9:15 a.m. and will run at 10-minute intervals.
