Sky Guy, the official mascot of the Chicago women's professional basketball team Chicago Sky, will meet his fans at the Grand Food Center in Winnetka from 12:30-1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15.
It's worth noting that the Chicago Sky played its first, 2012 pre-season game at New Trier High School last May. The professional women's basketball season runs from May-September.
Along with Sky Guy's visit, The Grand will feature a "Taste of the Holidays" sampling party for shoppers from 11am-4 pm. Shoppers are invited to sample appetizers and other items provided by a dozen select vendors.

The tasting event will also feature a visit from Santa Claus, who will listen to children's Christmas wishes from noon-3 p.m.
While Santa and Sky Guy keep the children occupied, shoppers will be able to take part in a large seafood sale that is planned. Special pricing will include cooked shrimp (16-20 ct.) for $14.99; 6-9 ct. King Crab Legs for $36.99; and pound-sized lobster tails for $34.99.
