Supporters “Swing for a Cure” at 21st Annual Carol Gollob Foundation Charity Tennis Clinic

On April 21, 2012, the Carol Gollob Foundation for Breast Cancer Research hosted its 21st annual “Swinging for a Cure” charity tennis clinic to help raise funds for breast cancer research. Generous supporters, including budding tennis players and pros attended the event to sharpen their skills on the courts and further the Foundation’s philanthropic efforts. Since 1992 the Foundation has
raised more than half a million dollars to support leading edge breast cancer research at prestigious medical facilities, including NorthShore University
HealthSystem (NorthShore) Kellogg Cancer Center.
Participants at the “Swinging for a Cure” tennis clinic are divided into groups of eight based on skill level and led through a series of drills and instruction by
Chicago area tennis professionals for two hours. The clinic is followed by a dinner, raffle and silent auction.
“‘The Swinging for a Cure’ charity tennis clinic allows individuals to engage in a high-energy, healthy activity while supporting a worthy cause,” said Lisa
Gollob Finke. “Raising awareness and funds for breast cancer research is key to helping families, like ours, whose loved ones are diagnosed with breast cancer.”
