Skokie, IL — Old Orchard Nissan Honors gives police, firefighters, EMTs, paramedics and 911 dispatchers a free oil change and car wash June 15–20
Active first responders across the Chicago area can get a free oil change and car wash in Skokie this June, with no purchase necessary.
The program is called Old Orchard Nissan Honors, and it runs Monday, June 15 through Saturday, June 20, 2026. It is open to active police officers, firefighters, EMTs, paramedics and 911 dispatchers from any department — not just those in Skokie, Niles, Morton Grove, Evanston or Lincolnwood. First responders from anywhere in the Chicago area are welcome.
Here is how it works. Eligible first responders bring their vehicle to the Old Orchard Nissan service department during the launch week and show an active work ID at drop-off. They receive a free oil change — up to five quarts of oil with a new filter — and a complimentary car wash. The offer covers most makes and models, so a non-Nissan vehicle is fine, though trucks, diesel engines and V8 engines are not eligible. Work is done by the dealership’s certified technicians.
An appointment is recommended to keep wait times down, though walk-ins will be accepted. Spots are limited and offered first come, first served. First responders are encouraged to call the service department to check availability and book a time.
“We wanted to thank the people who take care of our neighborhoods, and this is a simple, real way to do it,” said Tim McKay, Fixed Operations Director at Old Orchard Nissan. “If you’re a first responder, give us a call to set up a time that week, and we’ll take care of the rest.”
Old Orchard Nissan Honors is what the dealership describes as its first formally named community program, and the plan is to bring it back every June. Details are available at oldorchardnissan.com.
