Hosted by the Winnetka Historical Society, this 75-minute walking tour will take participants along the border of Winnetka and Glencoe. Starting at 271 Scott, the tour goes through some of Hubbard Woods’ most picturesque neighborhoods and its historic downtown. The tour focuses on some of the architectural elements that make these structures unique, as well as stories about the people who lived and worked in them. This tour runs from 5 - 6:15pm.

The Book Stall is excited to host bestselling author Kathleen Rooney&nbsp;on Thursday, July 9 at 6:00 pm for a discussion featuring her new book, Man Overboard!, a funny and moving novel in which a former college swimmer falls off a cruise ship and must keep treading water as memories and regrets wash over him. Man Overboard! is an inventive, slyly hilarious, and inspiring novel about what it means to be alive, stay alive, and what keeps us going no matter how choppy the waves of our journey become. Hold on for dear life! Ms. Rooney will be in-conversation with Sara Levine.&nbsp;
Kathleen Rooney is the nationally bestselling author of Lillian Boxfish Takes a Walk, as well as Cher Ami and Major Whittlesey and From Dust to Stardust. She has won the Ruth Lilly Poetry Prize from Poetry magazine and the Adam Morgan Literary Citizen Award from the Chicago Review of Books. Kathleen’s criticism can be found in The New York Times, the Star Tribune (Minneapolis), The Brooklyn Rail, Chicago magazine, the Los Angeles Review of Books, and beyond. She lives in Chicago with her spouse, the writer Martin Seay, and teaches English and creative writing at DePaul University.&nbsp;
Sara Levine is the author of the novel The Hitch (a NYT Critic Pick and a Kirkus Reviews Best Book of the Year) and the novel Treasure Island!!!. She teaches at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Meadows of the Sea: The Wonders of Seagrass explores the vital ecosystem of underwater seagrass meadows, including the many species of fish, mammals, reptiles, and invertebrates that call it home. A Pathway for Pollinators is a bright, read-aloud companion to A Place for Rain that inspires readers to build city gardens that connect and support pollinators.&nbsp;
Michelle Schaub is an award-winning children’s author and veteran teacher. Her book Fresh-Picked Poetry: A Day at the Farmers’ Market won the 2018 Growing Good Kids Award and 2019 Northern Lights Book Award. She is also the author of Finding Treasure: A Collection of Collections, an NCTE notable poetry book for 2020, and Dream Big, Little Scientists. Her poems appear in several anthologies, including The Poetry Anthology for Celebrations and&nbsp;Great Morning! Poems for School Leaders to Read Aloud.

American Music Festivals is proud to return to the beautiful Wayfarer Theaters to present American Music Festivals at the Movies, a program of short films and music videos that creates a unique and immersive cultural experience for the community.
This special event highlights the New Frontiers in Hawaiian Music initiative, bringing together works that explore music, nature, and cultural connection through video. AMF at the Movies also includes an award-winning short film, virtual videos created during the COVID years, films highlighting cultural exchange, and new works inspired by American themes and artistic voices.
The program will be narrated by American Music Festivals Artistic Director Philip Simmons, who will guide audiences through the shorts and provide context for the featured artists and creative collaborations.
