The Book Stall welcomes bestselling author Heather Morris for her new book, The Piano Teacher of Montparnasse. The #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Tattooist of Auschwitz returns with a masterful new novel that captures the astonishing bravery of ordinary people in extraordinary times. Ms. Morris will be in-conversation with author Renée Rosen.
Heather Morris is a native of New Zealand, now residing in Australia. For several years, while working in a large public hospital in Melbourne, she studied and wrote screenplays. In 2003, she was introduced to a gentleman who had "a story worth telling," which formed the basis of her first novel, The Tattooist of Auschwitz, and its follow-up, Cilka's Journey. Her third novel, Three Sisters, concluded the Tattooist trilogy. One of the twenty-first century's best-selling books, The Tattooist of Auschwitz was made into an acclaimed miniseries in 2024. Heather's books have sold over nineteen million copies worldwide.
Our conversation partner Renée Rosen is a USA Today bestselling author. Her novels include Fifth Avenue Glamour Girl, The Social Graces, Park Avenue Summer, Windy City Blues, White Collar Girl, What the Lady Wants and Dollface as well as the young adult novel, Every Crooked Pot.

Glenview New Church

A special community-wide Service of Remembrance will take place on Sunday November 8, 2026, at the Glenview New Church Auditorium, located at 74 Park Drive, Glenview, Illinois, 60025.
The event is free, open to all, and specifically designed to support anyone experiencing the ongoing grief of losing a family member, neighbor, or friend.
This community gathering focuses on collective healing, shared comfort, and honoring the enduring impact of those who have died. The event will feature four interactive tributes:

Reading of Names: Attendees can have their loved ones' names spoken aloud.

Candle Lighting: A collective “lighting” (battery operated) of candles to symbolize shared warmth and memory.

Photo Sharing: Guests are invited to bring a small, framed photograph to place on a communal memory table.

Memory Sharing: Attendees will have to opportunity to gather in small groups and share a favorite story or memory of their loved one.

Grief can often feel isolating, especially as time passes and the rest of the world moves on. We created this service to remind our neighbors that they do not have to carry their loss alone. It is a dedicated space to speak their names, share their stories, and find comfort in community.
Doors will open at 1:45.
The event will last approximately two hours to allow for everyone to have a turn to speak in their small groups. Light refreshments, conversation, and a time for shared reflection will follow immediately after the closing.
