Cop On A Rooftop: Where To Find Officers In Glencoe
Friday's "stakeout" at the Green Bay Road Dunkin Donuts benefits local Special Olympic athletes.

GLENCOE, IL — Officers from the Glencoe Public Safety Department and the Winnetka Police Department will be staking out the rooftop of the Glencoe Dunkin' Donuts location Friday morning. It's part of the 16th annual Cop on a Rooftop event, which raises money for the Law Enforcement Torch Run to benefit Special Olympics Illinois.
Local officers can be spotted from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. atop the Dunkin' Donuts at 81 Green Bay Rd., in the Hubbard Woods Shopping Center. Each visitor to a Cop on Top location on May 18 that makes a donation to the Torch Run will receive a coupon for a free donut.
Donors who give $10 or more will receive a Law Enforcement Torch Run travel mug and a coupon for a free coffee, and Torch Run t-shirts will be sold starting at $15. Events will be taking place across Illinois. There is a $720,000 statewide fundraising goal this year and nearly 300 participating locations.
